Help

The site appears plain in my browser

This site uses CSS extensively for layout and appearance. Some older browsers do not support CSS, and I have actively hidden the CSS from Netscape 4. Because the underlying HTML logically describes the layout of the documents, the content is still accessible but plain.

Either update to a decent browser or accept that using ancient software will put you at some disadvantage.

Some punctuation doesn’t appear

Another browser support problem, although this could be caused by font installations. I use decimal entities to get typographically correct punctuation, rather than using the ugly ' and " characters found on the keyboard. Most browsers and underlying font systems should handle this with no problems. More information is available on the characters page of my HTML tutorial.

Menu off the screen!

Yeah, I know. If you use a real browser that supports CSS fixed positioning, and you go into sublevel menus, the higher level menus fall off the bottom of the screen.

Use the handy up link in the header bar to work your way back up the hierarchy.
