I bought my first acoustic guitar as a substitute for my bass whilst living in a flat too small for a Trace Elliot bass amp and speakers. Of course, I have since relented and come back to bass, but I have kept the guitar.

I have a fairly basic Academy glass-fibre round-back electro-acoustic with a green front, bought from Musical Exchanges in Birmingham.

I primarily play rhythm: when I’m leading worship in church, I tend to use the guitar as it is more effective as a lead instrument than the bass. Also, I find it much harder to sing and play bass than I do to sing and play guitar or piano, despite being a much better bass player than guitarist or pianist.
