History
I learned to ride a bike late, at around 9 years of age, as I didn’t want to give up my really cool trike! A family friend introduced me to serious cycling when I was 12, and it went from there.

- 1984—first CTC club run of 30 miles
- 1985—New Forest 200km Audax in 12:15
- 1986—Dorset Coast 200km Audax in 10:55
- 1986—BCTC Junior Finalist, Aylesbury
- 1986—bought racing bike—Peugeot Super Competition
- 1986—first 10 mile time trial
- 1986—Salisbury CTC “30 in 2” in 1:47
- 1986—CTC Ride round the Isle of Wight
- 1987—10 mile TT in 29:21
- 1987—BCTC Junior Winner, Leicester
- 1987—Salisbury CTC “50 in 4”
- 1987—CTC Ride round the Isle of Wight, sustained knee injury
- 1988—sold the Falcon, converted the Peugeot for light touring
- 1988—BCTC Junior Finalist, Tonbridge
- 1988—dropped out of Exeter Devon Coast 200km due to knee injury from 1987

- 1990—obtained driving licence

- 2002—rode 100 miles in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance
